A Level Chemistry gives students a solid grounding in foundation chemistry. The course introduces the chemical reactivity of atoms and molecules, which provides a detailed understanding of their structures. We will also explore the development and use of periodic tables. The Practical Skills Assignments (PSA) part of the course allows you to gain credit towards your qualification for work done in routine class practicals. The most important entry requirement is that you are committed and determined to do well. You need to achieve a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, with at least 2 at Grade 5. These must include Maths and English. To study this particular A level, you need to achieve Grade 6 in GCSE Sciences and Maths

Successful completion enables students to either enter Higher Education or seek employment in chemical related industries. A Level Chemistry is also essential for pharmacy and medicine. Chemistry graduates work in a wide range of industries, as well as in management.
